Good to know
With BookingNet, you can choose whether guests pay by card at the time of booking, or pay on arrival instead. If they pay cash on arrival, there is no Stripe fee at all, every euro stays with you.
How the calculator works.
All figures are ex-VAT. VAT-registered businesses claim it back, so it does not affect the figures.
The commission is the rate Booking.com charges per booking. Booking.com typically charges 15 to 25%.
The Stripe card fee is fixed at 1.5% + 25c per transaction (Stripe's standard European card rate, ex-VAT). Different percentages apply for cards from outside Europe, ring Stephen for the detail.
The card fee applies only to direct bookings paid by card. Guests can also pay cash on arrival, in which case there is no Stripe fee at all.
These figures assume the same room rate for each booking. Real-world results vary by season and length of stay.
These figures cover the platform commission and the card fee only. They do not account for your direct marketing costs, your website cost, or other operating expenses.
